Eclectic Collection Number 36 – 1992 Score Dwight Evans

The Player

Dwight Evans was a wonderful defensive right fielder, who developed a strong bat in his lengthy career. He played for the Boston Red Sox from 1972 – 1990 and played for the Baltimore Orioles in 1991. Evans retired with 385 home runs and 1384 RBI as well as eight gold gloves, two silver sluggers and was picked for three all star teams. Analyst Bill James has stated that Evans was worthy of HOF consideration.

The Set

The 1992 Score is the very essence of junk wax. You can probably find a complete set for five dollars if you look long enough.

The Back

The three things that stick out on the back of this card is the lines of yearly stats which are befitting a veteran, the profile photo of Evans in an odd hat and the decent sized Orioles logo, which I like on this back.
